Kotihandi (operated by Scrubbadad Oy) - Customer Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Kotihandi, a marketplace platform operated by Scrubbadad Oy (Business ID: 3097826-1, hereinafter "we", "us", "our"). Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our services.

1. Scope of Services

Kotihandi provides a digital platform that connects customers ("you") with independent service providers ("Service Providers") offering a variety of home and personal services, including but not limited to cleaning, moving, handyman work, and other household services.

We facilitate the booking and payment process but do not provide the services ourselves.

2. Role of Kotihandi

Kotihandi acts as an intermediary. We are not a party to the contract between you and the Service Provider. The Service Provider is solely responsible for delivering the service.

3. Booking and Payment

All service bookings are made via the Kotihandi platform.

Payments are processed securely through Stripe and Klarna.

Upon booking confirmation, you authorize us to collect payment on behalf of the Service Provider.

Prices include applicable VAT unless otherwise stated.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation policies vary depending on the Service Provider. However, a booked service must be canceled 48 hours prior to rendering the service.

In case of cancellation by the Service Provider, you are entitled to a full refund.

Refunds are processed back to the original payment method.

5. Complaints and Reclamations

Any service-related complaints should first be directed to the Service Provider through the Kotihandi app.

Kotihandi can assist in mediating disputes but is not liable for service deficiencies.

Damage claims are primarily handled through the Service Provider's liability insurance.

6. User Responsibilities

Provide accurate and complete information when booking services.

Ensure safe and suitable working conditions for the Service Provider.

Treat Service Providers with respect and professionalism.

7. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for the performance, quality, or outcome of services.

We are not responsible for any indirect or consequential damages.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Kotihandi platform is owned by Scrubbadad Oy or its licensors.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

We process personal data according to our Privacy Policy and comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be published on our website and apply to future bookings.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by Finnish law. Disputes shall be settled in the District Court of Helsinki, Finland. Consumers may also refer disputes to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta).
