How You Save with KotiCash

Viivi orders a monthly home cleaning service from Kotihandi. The cleaning takes 5 hours and costs 45 €/hour.

Labor cost: 5 h × 45 € = 225 € per session
Annual cost: 12 × 225 € = 2,700 € per year

After each cleaning, Viivi automatically receives 2.5% KotiCash in the Kotihandi app to use for her next order. If Viivi books her cleaning before the 16th of the month, she earns 5% KotiCash instead of 2.5%, thanks to the EarlyBird Bonus.

KotiCash per order: 2.5% × 225 € = 5.63 €

Viivi can use this amount as a one-time discount on the next order, up to 20%.

Annual KotiCash earnings: 5.63 € × 12 = 67.50 €

Since the deductible for the household deduction is 150 €, the benefit kicks in after the second cleaning. Viivi applied for a 35% tax deduction on the labor cost of her yearly cleaning services through the Tax Administration's website.

35% × 2,700 € = 945 € – deductible 150 € = 795 €

Taking into account both the tax deduction and KotiCash savings, Viivi paid only 1,837.50 € for services worth 2,700 €. That means the actual price per session was just 153.13 €!
