How to Order an International Move
When moving abroad, price depends significantly on the size of your home and amount of belongings. International transport rules and distance also matter.
To request a quote, provide as much detail as possible about your move. Make your move abroad or back to Finland simple by sending a request.
Checklist for International Moves
- Compare options at least 1–3 months before moving to plan properly and ensure availability of the right vehicle on your preferred date.
- Submit a move notification to the local register office at least one month before your move.
- Check import/export restrictions with the local embassy or authorities. Items like pets, plants, food, or alcohol may have limitations.
- Have your items packed by the moving company to ensure smooth border crossing. Moving company insurance typically offers better coverage than private ones.
